Fiber Maintenance

Background
The Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Atlantic (NCTAMS LANT) is responsible for delivering and defending secure computer and telecommunications systems that provide information superiority for global maritime and joint forces.

The goal of this contract is to ensure the maintenance and support of fiber optic telecommunication infrastructure at Naval Station Norfolk (NAVSTA) and Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek (JEBLC), which is critical for operational communications.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide routine, corrective, and preventative maintenance, as well as support services for the fiber optic telecommunication infrastructure. This includes:
- Maintenance of fiber risers, fiber distribution centers (FDC), and Integrated Transport Node (ITN) locations.
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards for all services provided.
- Performing on-site corrective maintenance including fault identification and repair of faulty fiber cabling.
- Providing emergency maintenance with a response time of four hours on weekdays and six hours on weekends/holidays.
- Conducting preventive maintenance every four months, including testing of fiber infrastructure and cleaning of pier risers.
- Maintaining records of all preventive maintenance services provided.
- Cooperating with other contractors when necessary for troubleshooting or testing.

Period of Performance
The period of performance includes one base year from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027, with four optional years extending through December 31, 2031.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at Naval Station Norfolk (NAVSTA), Norfolk, VA, and Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek (JEBLC), Virginia Beach, VA.
