Fertilizer, Herbicide and Fire Ant Control - Application Services -- S208   3

Background
Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery requires fertilizer, herbicide, and fire ant control application services for an estimated 205.89 acres. The solicitation will result in a firm-fixed price contract for the services detailed in Attachment A: Draft Technical Specifications.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide fertilization procedures, including three applications per year in spring, summer, and fall, using a 4-1-2 ratio complete fertilizer with 50% slow-release nitrogen. The contractor must also ensure proper watering and removal of any staining on surfaces after application.
Additionally, the herbicide program consists of two pre-emergent and three post-emergent herbicide applications per year, with specific timing and application requirements. The contractor is responsible for repeat, follow-up, and spot spray herbicide applications as needed.
Fire ant control treatment involves three broadcast treatments per year using a specific bait product containing Hydromethylon and Methoprene.
