Project work involves maintenance dredging of the Fernandina Harbor Cut-1 station 0+00 through Cut-6 station 9+00 and Turning Basin. The excavated material will be transported to and placed in the Fernandina Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site (ODMDS). Work also includes turbidity monitoring, endangered species observers (hopper dredges only), sea turtle trawl-sweeping (hopper dredges only), and marine animal observer (clamshell dredges only).

Background
The Fernandina Harbor Maintenance Dredging project is issued by the Jacksonville District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The mission of this agency is to provide vital public engineering services in peace and war to strengthen the nation's security, energize the economy, and reduce risks from disasters.

The goal of this contract is to perform maintenance dredging at Fernandina Harbor to ensure navigability and environmental compliance.

Work Details
The work includes maintenance dredging from station 0+00 through Cut-6 station 9+00 and Turning Basin. The excavated material will be transported to the Fernandina Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site (ODMDS).
