Background
The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) is issuing a request for quotes to provide and install fixed knot, woven wire fencing and gates to contain feral swine in Kingsville, TX.

This initiative is in response to the threat posed by African Swine Fever (ASF), a highly contagious disease that has caused significant damage to the global pork industry. Although ASF has not been detected in the U.S., its proximity in the Dominican Republic and its impact in Europe necessitate preparedness measures.

Work Details
The work involves clearing heavy brush and constructing fenced enclosures designed to prevent feral swine dispersal. The project includes:
- Clearing approximately 2.5-3 acres of heavy brush (optional).
- Providing all necessary fencing/building materials including mesh fencing, posts, corner posts, fasteners, and gates.
- Constructing a 160 x 60 meter rectangular perimeter enclosure with three equidistant partitions using 2.4 meter tall fixed knot, woven wire fencing (Stay-tuff model 2096-3-200).
- Building two inner enclosures measuring 50 x 30 meters each within the partitioned area: one using 1.5 meter tall fixed knot, woven wire fencing (Stay-tuff model 1661-6-330) and another using 1.9 meter tall fixed knot, woven wire fencing (Stay-tuff model 1775-3-200).
- Installing six 8-foot livestock gates as entrances to each main enclosure and the two inner enclosures.
- Ensuring post placement for fencing support does not exceed 12 feet between posts and that all fencing is installed as close to the ground as possible with a maximum ground tolerance of one inch.
