Background
Brookhaven Science Associates, LLC (BSA) operates Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) under a Prime Contract with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). This solicitation is for the procurement of a femtosecond laser system to support precision micromachining and nonlinear material processing research at BNL. The goal is to acquire a commercially available industrial-grade laser system that meets specific technical requirements.

Work Details
The vendor shall supply one (1) industrial-grade 1030 nm femtosecond fiber laser system suitable for precision micromachining and nonlinear material processing research. The system must be a commercially available production model, not a prototype or first-build. Key specifications include:
- Wavelength near 1030 nm
- Pulse duration < 500 fs
- Average output power ≥ 20 W

The vendor must provide:
- Model designation
- Date of commercial release
- Number of comparable units delivered

Additionally, the system must be NRTL certified, comply with U.S. laser safety regulations, and include all required Class-4 safety features and interlocks. Delivery should not exceed sixteen (16) weeks from receipt of order unless approved by BNL.

Period of Performance
The contract period of performance will remain in effect through August 7, 2026.
