FCI Sandstone is requesting to purchase a new tandem compressor unit to replace the existing unit on the K-Unit Air Handling Unit (AHU), Circuit #1. The current compressor is beyond its useful life and is currently inoperable and unrepairable. The units will be replacements for Emerson/Copeland Tandem Compressor Unit. Institution staff will perform the installation; this requirement is for supply only. See attached specifications for additional information.

Background
FCI Sandstone, part of the Federal Bureau of Prisons, is seeking to procure a new tandem compressor unit to replace the existing unit on the K-Unit Air Handling Unit (AHU), Circuit #1. The current compressor has reached the end of its useful life and is no longer operable or repairable. This procurement aims to ensure continued operation of the air handling system by providing a compatible replacement unit.

Work Details
The contract requires the supply of one tandem scroll compressor unit that meets the following specifications:
- Capacity range: 173,000 – 362,000 Btu
- Compatible with R-438A, R-407C, or R-22 refrigerant
- Efficiency: 11 – 11.5 EER

- Phase: 3-phase
- Voltage: 200/230V (208V)

- Discharge connection: 1 3/8” ID (straight)
- Suction connection: 1 5/8” ID (straight)
- Includes service with T-cover oil T-block and manufacturer's parts suction dip tube included
- Designed with a 115/240-volt module installed and a 24-volt module in the compressor box.
