Background
The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP), specifically the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Cumberland, is seeking to award a contract for the design, material, and installation of a 12,000-gallon Above Ground Storage Tank (AST) with a reinforced concrete enclosure. This initiative is aimed at enhancing the facility's emergency diesel generator capabilities by ensuring proper fuel storage and containment.

Work Details
The contractor will provide and install a new 12,000-gallon Above Ground Storage Tank (AST) with a monolithic 6” reinforced concrete enclosure. The scope includes:
1. Utilizing the existing fuel transfer system and transferring existing fuel into the new AST.
2. Adhering to the owner's Spill Prevention, Countermeasure, and Containment plan.
3. Installing necessary components such as stairs, bollards, spill buckets, monitoring systems, and emergency vents.
4. Conducting pressure tests on the tank and ensuring all systems are operational prior to project completion.
5. Providing training for facility personnel on the new equipment.
6. Obtaining all necessary permits and ensuring compliance with regulations pertaining to ASTs.

Period of Performance
The anticipated performance period for this project is 30 calendar days following the effective date of award.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Cumberland located at 14601 Burbridge Rd SE, Cumberland, MD 21502.
