Background
The solicitation is for a Far East Tanker Time Charter. The Request for Proposals (RFP) is a solicitation for offers to perform a Charter Party. The Charter, when awarded, will consist of the completed Standard Form (SF) 1449, this Preamble, and Parts I through IX. The signature of the on SF 1449 signifies acceptance of the Contractor’s proposal and award of the Charter.

Work Details
The work details include the Base Period - Charter Hire for 366 Days, Base Period - Reimbursables, Delivery Fee, Redelivery Fee, and various options for Charter Hire and Reimbursables.
The solicitation also includes clauses incorporated by reference and by full text, as well as a list of effective changes.

Period of Performance
The base period of performance is for 1 year with three 1-year option periods and one final option that will be for 11 months.

Place of Performance
The geographic location(s) the contract will be performed is in the Sea of Japan/Western Pacific Range, with the port being at the Charterer’s option.
