Description

The Product Director (PdD), Multi-Mission Protected Vehicle Systems (MPVS) located at the United States Army TACOM Life Cycle Management Command (LCMC) in Warren, Michigan is seeking to identify sources capable of manufacturing the FMTVA2 and associated kits, develop and integrate technical enhancements identified in the Performance Specification, and provide System Technical Support (STS) and Maintenance Technical Representative (MTR) support. This program intends to provide coverage to the U.S. Army and for future customers such as the Army National Guard, Army Reserve, other Program Offices, and potential Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers. The vehicles shall be built to the FMTVA2 Production Level Technical Data package and meet the requirements contained in the FMTV A2 Performance Specification. The Performance Specification will include requirements for specific technical enhancements that shall be incorporated into the production configuration.

Work Details
Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV) A2 SOW: Specific products to be manufactured or delivered under the contract include FMTVA2 vehicles and associated kits.

The solicitation also includes a detailed list of questions related to logistics, production & quality capability, make-or-buy decision process, supplier evaluation and selection process, quality process for ensuring parts produced within facilities conform to a technical data package, experience with weldments and fabrications, employment of certified welders and NDT certified inspectors for validating weld quality, utilization of a manufacturing facility with a certified Quality Management System (QMS), among others.
