Description

The purpose of having Army personnel collaboration is to support each AI project and provide domain expertise as Subject Matter Expert within a Visitor/Collaboration Environment Space.

Background
The U.S. Army Contracting Command – Rock Island (ACC-RI) is seeking to continue the collaboration with Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) for the Artificial Intelligence Integration Center (AI2C).

The AI2C's mission is to provide specialized accelerated Artificial Intelligence Integration to support complex and high-risk missions for the Army, Department of Defense (DoD), and Federal Agency partners. This justification is being sought due to the unique capabilities of CMU in AI research and development, which are critical for the Army's goals in operationalizing AI.

Work Details
The contract will facilitate ongoing collaboration between AI2C and CMU at the Bakery Square research facility in Pittsburgh. The services provided will include:
- Specialized support for over thirteen programs managed by AI2C.
- Integration of Army AI strategy and implementation efforts.
- Synchronization of key development efforts to operationalize AI within the Army.
- Research activities that inform DoD efforts to leverage AI for military capabilities enhancement.
- Administrative support personnel will be provided with desk space at Bakery Square to ensure continuous collaboration on research projects.

Period of Performance
The contract period of performance is from May 29, 2025, through May 28, 2026.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the Bakery Square research facility in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
