Background
The United States Embassy in Buenos Aires is seeking a contractor to manage the safe removal, storage, and reinstallation of specified artwork. This contract aims to ensure the preservation and proper handling of cultural assets during the relocation process, aligning with the embassy's mission to maintain cultural heritage.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for:

1. Safely removing specified artwork from walls.
2. Properly storing these items in crates per level and maintaining them in storage at the contractor's facilities during the required timeframe.
3. Transporting the items back to the embassy in groups as scheduled.
4. Installing a hanging system and re-hanging paintings as directed by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
5. Conducting an initial survey of existing conditions of furniture and documenting findings through photos, drawings, and written descriptions.
6. Preparing all necessary documentation including work plans, safety plans, and insurance details prior to commencing work.

Period of Performance
The contract will be executed over a one-year period from the date of award, with options for four additional years.

United States Embassy Buenos Aires, Av. Colombia 4300, Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate experience in handling and transporting artwork and cultural assets, comply with local preservation regulations, and adhere to U.S. Secretary of Interior Standards for Preservation and American Institute for Conservation’s Code of Ethics.
