Background
The U.S. Embassy in Kathmandu, Nepal, is seeking professional services for comprehensive interior painting, epoxy coating, Chapra wood polishing, and tile flooring work for multiple leased residences.
The goal of this contract is to ensure that the residences are maintained to a high standard, reflecting the mission of the embassy to provide quality living conditions for its staff.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Interior Painting:
- Paint all interior walls using semi-gloss white paint.
- Paint exposed conduits and security wiring pipes.
- Apply enamel paint to all door shutters, metal staircase railings, and window grills throughout the residence.
- Ensure finished surfaces are smooth, solid, and free of bubbling, spotting, or bare areas.
2. Chapra Polish Application:
- Apply Chapra polish to wooden flooring, stair treads and risers, stair rails, posts, and balusters.
- Polish kitchen cabinet front faces and drawers, walk-in closet woodwork, main entry doors, interior doors, utility room doors and windows.
- Polish window frames and shutters throughout the residence ensuring smooth finishes without scratches or unevenness.
3. Specialty Flooring:
- Apply natural paint to Tele-tile flooring and epoxy paint to designated floor areas.
4. Preparation Works:
- Remove movable furniture or stack it in the center of the room covered with plastic sheets; cover floors with plastic sheets and cotton drop cloths; apply painter’s tape to protect baseboards and fixtures; fill holes with spackle; sand surfaces; ensure walls are dry before painting; apply primer as needed.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a one-year period from the date of award with no options for extension.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate experience in similar projects involving interior painting and woodwork polishing. They must also comply with safety standards set by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (EM 385-1-1) and OSHA regulations.
