Bio Pond Restoration and Stewardship for the VA St Louis Health Care System, John Cochran and Jefferson Barracks Divisions   3

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this contract to provide restoration and stewardship for numerous ponds located at the John Cochran and Jefferson Barracks VA Medical Centers.

The goal of the contract is to ensure that these areas are maintained in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, specifically targeting stormwater management and environmental compliance.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide all labor, personnel, equipment, tools, materials, vehicles, supervision, waste disposal, and other items necessary for the restoration and stewardship of identified areas.

Services include:
- Monthly restoration tasks such as removal of invasive species, silt, trash, and debris;
- Ensuring compliance with St. Louis Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD) specifications;
- Monthly stewardship activities including general maintenance, weed treatment, debris removal, mulch cultivation, sediment removal, selective pruning, and annual flower replacement in designated planting beds.

Special requirements include Personal Identification Verification (PIV) for personnel entering VA property and submission of field reports upon completion of work.

The services will be performed at the John Cochran and Jefferson Barracks VA Medical Centers located in St. Louis.
