Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing a 5-year Indefinite Quantity Contract for Hazardous Waste Collection Services at the Clement J Zablocki VAMC in Milwaukee, WI. The contract aims to ensure safe and compliant disposal of hazardous waste generated by the medical center and its affiliated clinics, supporting the agency's mission to provide high-quality healthcare services to veterans.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, labor, transportation, and applicable licenses and permits necessary for Hazardous Waste collection and disposal services. Services include:

1. Monthly waste pick-ups at the Clement J Zablocki VA Medical Center.
2. Biannual waste pick-ups at the John H Bradley VA Clinic and Milo C Huempner Healthcare Center.
3. On-call additional pick-ups (up to 3 per year) within 72 hours of notification.
4. Compliance with federal, state, and local hazardous waste regulations during collection, transportation, and disposal.
5. Responsibilities include classifying, identifying, collecting, packaging (bulk and lab pack), labeling, manifesting, transporting, and disposing of hazardous materials/waste.
6. The contractor must maintain a professional demeanor while on hospital grounds and ensure minimal disruption to medical center operations.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a five-year ordering period from May 1, 2026, through April 30, 2031.

Place of Performance
The primary location for performance is the Clement J Zablocki VA Medical Center at 5000 West National Avenue, Milwaukee, WI. Additional locations include the John H Bradley VA Clinic in Appleton, WI and the Milo C Huempner Healthcare Center in Green Bay, WI.
