The purpose of the Superfund Technical Assessment   2

Background
The Superfund Technical Assessment and Response Team (START) contract is issued by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to provide consistent advisory and assistance services to EPA On-Scene Coordinators (OSCs) and other federal officials.

The goal of this contract is to support the EPA's responsibilities under the national response system, which includes protecting human health and the environment. The contractor will provide scientific and technical support for various EPA programs, including the Superfund Pre-Remedial Program and Brownfields Program.

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish necessary personnel, materials, equipment, services, and facilities to perform tasks outlined in the Statement of Work. Key tasks include:
1. Removal Support
2. Technical Assistance and Training
3. Site Assessment (HRS Packages) Support
4. Remedial Support
5. Emergency response support as needed.

The contractor must ensure that all personnel are appropriately trained and accredited, with current credentials/certifications. They are responsible for providing all supplies, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for task completion. Additionally, the contractor must explore green cleanup strategies when directed by OSC/WAM to promote sustainability and reduce environmental impact.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a specified period as determined by task orders issued against the contract; specific timeframes will be defined in individual task orders.

Place of Performance
Primarily based in Region 3 of the EPA, with potential assignments outside this region as directed.
