Remedial Action Operation and Maintenance Support at the Brown&Bryant Site

Background
The action being approved is an exception to fair opportunity requirements to award a task order under the EPA Remedial Action Framework Design and Engineering Services (DES) IDIQ. This exception justifies and authorizes the award of a task order to HDR APTIM LLC without providing a fair opportunity to other RAF-DES IDIQ contract holders under the Design and Engineering Services (DES) IDIQ. The task order award to HDR APTIM LLC will provide continued remedial action operation and maintenance support for remediation activities at the Brown and Bryant Superfund Site on a short-term basis not to exceed 12 months.

Work Details
F--Remedial Action Operation and Maintenance Support at the Brown&Bryant Site consolidated in an area that is now under the RCRA-cap. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, on behalf of the EPA, imported clean soil material, performed grading and fencing, and constructed the RCRA-cap and basic asphalt cap over the former plant property. A second ROD was issued and signed in 2007.

The 2007 ROD addressed the A-zone groundwater, subsurface soil from the base of the A-zone groundwater to the B-zone groundwater, and the B-zone groundwater. The purpose of the 2007 ROD was to remove contaminants from the A-zone groundwater to protect the B- and C-zone groundwater, restore B-zone groundwater for potential beneficial drinking water, and prevent exposure to contaminated groundwater...

Period of Performance
The task order award to HDR APTIM LLC will provide continued remedial action operation and maintenance support for remediation activities at the Brown and Bryant Superfund Site on a short-term basis not to exceed 12 months.
