NCR-NAMA: Hazard Tree Removal-Hazard Tree Mitigation
Background
The National Park Service (NPS) is seeking a contractor to perform tree removal services at the National Mall. The goal of this contract is to safely remove 16 trees, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding disposal and environmental protection. This initiative aligns with the NPS's mission to preserve natural resources and maintain the integrity of park landscapes.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. Take down 16 trees in a controlled and safe manner.
2. Remove all resulting debris from the site and dispose of it off-campus in accordance with local, state, and federal Department of Transportation (DOT) and dumping laws.
3. Grind the associated stumps completely through the bottom of each stump and grind all roots that are 1 inch in diameter or larger throughout the root mat.
4. Backfill each stump hole with NAMA-approved topsoil.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from June 1, 2026, to August 17, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will take place at the National Mall, Washington DC.
