MS Phosphate Phase 1C Construction   4

Background
The contract is for the Mississippi Phosphate Phase 1C Construction, which involves earthwork, installation of geotextile turf product, work on the water return ditch, and pond 5 areas. The contract is issued by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) at the Atlanta Federal Center in Georgia.

Work Details
The work includes preparing the East Gypsum Stack subgrade for synthetic turf cover system placement, placing synthetic turf cover system over the subgrade, removing temporary culverts from Phase 1A and 1B, preparing WRD West and WRD South subgrade, installing leachate piping within gravel layer, installing stormwater outfall piping, preparing Pond 5 subgrade for stormwater liner, placing Pond 5 stormwater liner, and conducting minor repair work. The Contractor is responsible for furnishing necessary personnel, material, equipment, services, and facilities to perform the specifications included in Attachment A-C.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for various tasks ranges from 365 days to 730 days after award. The entire work must be completed within 3 years after the Notice to Proceed (NTP).

Place of Performance
The contract work will be performed at the East Gypsum Stack boundaries in Pascagoula, MS.
