Background
The U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) requires fuel reduction services to support the fuels management program. Fuels management services and vegetation treatments have been proven as a means to mitigate wildfire hazards, lessen catastrophic fires, lessen the threat to the public and firefighter safety, and reduce damage to property.

Work Details
The project is for one (1), Multiple Year, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Firm Fixed Price Services Contract for Fuels Management Services. The coverage area is primarily in Southern Oregon within a radius of 3 hours from the city limits of Medford and Grants Pass, Oregon, within the Medford District. The types of work will include all activities to maintain a healthy forest environment activity involved, but not limited to, treatments such as slashing, brushing, thinning, pullback, lopping and scatter, pruning, chipping, piling, covering piles, fuel break construction and burning activities are contemplated under this contract.

The project areas are reforestation areas, natural and managed stands of timber woodlands, shrubfields, or grass areas of all ages, size, and species. The estimated period of performance is from 09/01/2022 to 08/31/2027.
