Background
The United States Air Force (USAF) is initiating a Justification and Approval (J&A) for Other Than Full and Open Competition regarding the F-15EX Depot Activation Angle of Attack Transmitter (AoA). The contract aims to establish an organic, depot-level repair capability for the AoA, which is critical for ensuring flight safety by measuring aerodynamic angles. Aerosonic LLC is the sole source being awarded this Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract due to their unique position as the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the AoA, which is integrated into the F-15EX aircraft. This initiative seeks to maximize cost-effectiveness and efficiency by leveraging existing F-15 legacy capabilities.

Work Details
The contract will involve the strategic delivery of a complete product support package necessary for depot-level repairs of the AoA. This includes:
- Acquisition of required hardware, software, test equipment, technical publications, training, supply support, packaging, and data.
- Establishing core infrastructure for depot-level hardware testing and repair.
- Components required include Specialized Test Equipment (STE), Test Program Sets (TPS), and Interface Test Adapters (ITAs).
- The AoA itself along with all associated parts/spares and rights in technical data necessary for maintenance will be procured.
- The AoAs are critical sensors that prevent stalls by measuring airflow angles and transmitting real-time data to flight computers.

Period of Performance
The IDIQ contract will have a three-year base ordering period with an additional one-year option.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at designated Air Logistics Complexes (ALCs) where the USAF maintains its aircraft.
