Description

This request for information focuses on the provision of the above-referenced Depot Activation capabilities for the F-15 EX's current Engine Fuel Hydraulic Display (EFHD). The repair and maintenance of the EFHD requires not only the EFHD itself but all associated parts/spares and the rights in technical data necessary to maintain and ensure the software used in the displays functions correctly to support verification of repairs at designated ALC. For further information, please see the attached documentation.

Background
The F-15EX program is a multi-role weapon system that leverages over $5 billion of foreign military sales investment and capability enhancements on a robust F-15 airframe. This advanced fighter aircraft will replace the existing F-15C/D fleet and augment an aging F-15E fleet, becoming core to the Air Force's operations.

The Air Force Lifecycle Management Center, F-15 Directorate (AFLCMC/WAQ) is conducting market research to identify potential sources capable of providing Depot Activation capabilities to support the F-15 Program. This Request for Information (RFI) aims to gather insights for developing a Long-Term Support Strategy to improve supply chain efficiencies, material availability, and supplier base for multiple Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and their subcomponents from all Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).

Work Details
The RFI focuses on the provision of Depot Activation capabilities for the F-15EX’s Engine Fuel Hydraulic Display (EFHD). The repair and maintenance of the EFHD require not only the EFHD itself but also all associated parts/spares and rights in technical data necessary for maintenance and software functionality.

Key specifications include:
- The EFHD is a critical cockpit display system providing real-time monitoring of aircraft engine systems, fuel systems, and hydraulic systems.
- It receives alternator signals for RPM data, thermocouple signals for engine temperature, and synchro signals for fuel flow, nozzle position, and oil pressure.
- Hydraulic pressure signals are received as 26 VAC 400 Hz synchro inputs.
- The EFHD displays total fuel quantity, internal fuel quantities, and Bingo fuel status.
- Communication occurs via RS-422 links with other systems.

The contractor's plan must be coordinated through the F-15EX Depot Maintenance Activation Working Group (DMAWG) and should focus on transitioning depot-level repair work to Government organic depots while maximizing existing F-15 legacy capabilities.
