Background
The Phoenix Rearing Facility (PRF) is a 69,000 square foot facility that produces and ships approximately one million insects per day. The facility uses swamp coolers to keep the temperature low enough to ensure the ingredients stay fresh and do not spoil. The existing swamp coolers require regular maintenance due to hard water and extreme heat, and finding replacement parts is difficult.

Work Details
The Statement of Work (SOW) is to procure design and construction services to replace the existing evaporative cooling system for the Diet Warehouse, Middle Warehouse, and the Tool room. The contractor shall meet with project representatives to ascertain a clear understanding of the project scope, project boundaries, and any site security concerns.
Tasks include replacing existing evaporative coolers with new updated units, providing an inline water filter on the water supply line to each unit, designing and providing a new air conditioning system for specific spaces, tying new equipment into the Building Automation System (BAS), and complying with various standards and regulations.

Period of Performance
The performance period is 150 calendar days after receiving notice to proceed.
