EUR/Athens - Construction of half Basketball Court for US Embassy, Athens   2

Background
The U.S. Embassy in Athens, Greece, is seeking to construct a half-size basketball court at the CMR Residence. This project aims to enhance recreational facilities for the embassy staff and their families, aligning with the embassy's mission to provide a comfortable living environment for its personnel.

Work Details
The contractor is required to remove the existing clay surface and sublayer, as well as exterior lighting fixtures. The new construction will include:

- A 120 mm thick concrete floor slab
- An acrylic surface with half-size court lines and a basketball hoop

Optional items include:

- A chain-link fence (approximately 19.6 meters long and 3.65 meters high)
- Twelve exterior LED lighting fixtures (400 watts each)
- A windscreen (approximately 126 meters long and 3.50 meters high)

The contractor must ensure all work complies with safety standards, including obtaining necessary permits from local authorities and maintaining site cleanliness throughout the project.

Period of Performance
The total period of performance for completion is 45 calendar days, with work permitted only on weekdays. Delays may occur due to weather conditions.
