Description

Establish a new 10-year contract for IBM mainframe hardware warranty/maintenance, additional hardware/capacity, and specialized technical hardware services for System z-mainframe hardware equipment.

Background
The Social Security Administration (SSA) is issuing a new 10-year contract for IBM mainframe hardware warranty and maintenance, additional hardware capacity, and specialized technical hardware services for System z-mainframe hardware equipment. The agency's mission is to administer and execute core business programs, which rely heavily on the IBM System-z mainframe hardware. IBM has been determined to meet the SSA's requirements following a Request for Information (RFI) process where other vendors were found insufficient.

The current contract is set to expire on March 31, 2026, making this new contract essential to avoid disruptions in operational services.

Work Details
