Description

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has a requirement for Equine Veterinary Services. The Government intends to make a single indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract award resulting from solicitation, 70B03C25R00000208. The anticipated contract will be issued with a single, five-year ordering period. All items are defined in the statement of work (SOW), which is included as Attachment 1 Statement of Work.

Background
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), specifically the U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) Tucson Sector, is responsible for providing veterinary services and routine care for approximately 132 horses used by the Horse Patrol Units. The number of horses may vary due to factors such as injuries, retirements, personnel changes, or operational tempo adjustments.

The goal of this contract is to ensure that these horses receive necessary veterinary care and emergency services.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, travel, equipment, and supplies necessary to deliver experienced equine veterinary care and emergency services to government-owned horses located at various sites throughout southern Arizona. Key personnel required include an Equine Veterinarian, Equine Veterinary Assistant, and/or Equine Veterinary Technician.

The contractor must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws as well as industry standards set by the American Association of Equine Practitioners.

Period of Performance
The anticipated contract will have a single ordering period of five years from the date of award.

Various locations throughout southern Arizona.
