Epoxy Primer, MIL-DTL-53022

Background
The Army Contracting Command (ACC) - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Tobyhanna Division is conducting a Sources Sought to identify potential sources for supplying epoxy primer. The goal is to find suppliers who can meet the specifications outlined in MIL-DTL-53022, Type IV, Class L. This solicitation is part of the agency's mission to procure materials that are corrosion inhibiting and environmentally compliant.

Work Details
The requirement is for 1,000 gallons of Off-White Epoxy Primer that is corrosion inhibiting, high solids, lead and chromate free, and Hazardous Air Pollutant Free (HAPs-Free). The specifications are as follows:
- Specification: MIL-DTL-53022, Type IV, Class L
- VOC: 2.8 lbs/gal (maximum)
- Product Code (Part A): 22167WEP
- Product Code (Part B): 22170CEH
- Size: 1-gal kit
- Size (Part A): 1-gallon
- Size (Part B): 1-quart
**Material MUST be listed on the Qualified Products List (QPL) for MIL-DTL-53022.** Additionally, as a HAZMAT item, it requires no less than 80% of the manufacturer’s total shelf life and the most current Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and Technical Data Sheets (TDS) when shipping. The material expiration date must be included on the material, quote, and invoice.
