THE PURPOSE OF AMENDMENT 0001 IS TO EXTEND THE RESPONSE DUE DATE TO AND SCHEDULE A SITE VISIT. PLEASE SEE ATTACHED AMENDMENT FOR ALL PERTINENT INFORMATION.

THE PURPOSE OF AMENDMENT 0002 IS TO PROVIDE THE GOVERNMENT'S RESPONSE TO SUBMITTED QUESTIONS, A PICTURE, AND A FLOOR PLAN.

THE PURPOSE OF AMENDMENT 0003 IS TO PROVIDE GOVERNMENT RESPONSES TO SUBMITTED QUESTIONS AFTER SITE VISIT AND TO REVISE PRIMARY POINT OF CONTACT. NO OTHER CHANGES.

THE PURPOSE OF AMENDMENT 0004 IS TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL GOVERNMENT RESPONSES TO QUESTIONS SUBMITTED TIMELY TO THE PREVIOUS PRIMARY POINT OF CONTACT THAT WAS SENT TO THE CONTRACTING OFFICER AFTER THE POSTING OF AMENDMENT 0003.

Background
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is issuing this solicitation for epoxy floor coating services as part of an ongoing renovation project in Building 235 G-Wing (Guide Hall).

The goal is to enhance the functionality, durability, and safety of the floors while improving their overall aesthetic appeal. This project involves surface preparation and epoxy coating of concrete flooring that has been exposed due to the removal of shield walls and equipment.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide surface preparation and epoxy coating for a total area of 2500 square feet in Building 235 G-Wing. The work includes:
- Surface preparation: grinding and bead blasting to remove existing epoxy, filling cracks and holes, and using dust controls to protect sensitive research equipment.
- Application of a minimum of two coats of epoxy, with each coat being approximately 14-16 mils thick, achieving a total finished thickness between 25 to 40 mils.
- Use of Norklad 200 Epoxy or an equivalent (100% solids two-part low VOC epoxy).
- Final colors: Safety Blue for walkways and Beige #2 for non-walkway areas.
- A Health & Safety Plan must be provided within two weeks after award, following NIST Safety and Health Guidelines.

Period of Performance
The surface preparation and epoxy floor coating must be completed by April 30, 2025. The Health & Safety Plan is due within two weeks after receipt of award.
