EPA - R10 Water Purification Systems Annual Mx & Sprt - MRAS

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), in collaboration with the General Services Administration (GSA), is conducting market research to identify potential contractors for a comprehensive maintenance and support contract. This initiative focuses on the upkeep of water purification systems within the EPA Region 10 Laboratory. The primary goal of this contract is to ensure that these systems operate efficiently and effectively, supporting the EPA's mission to protect human health and the environment by maintaining high-quality water purification standards.

The work required under this solicitation involves providing annual on-site preventive maintenance for several Millipore water purification systems. The contractor will be responsible for executing a thorough checkup of each system's specifications and operational functions, including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components. This maintenance includes tasks such as checking inlet screen filters, verifying system parameters before and after maintenance, performing water chemistry analysis if required, changing consumables, verifying flow rates and pressures, and conducting comprehensive system tests.

In addition to these routine tasks, the contractor must adhere to Standard Operating Procedures as part of a Quality System. They are expected to provide technical support via phone for troubleshooting purposes. Should any repairs be necessary beyond regular maintenance activities, the contractor will provide estimates for approval by a contracting officer before proceeding. This ensures that all systems continue to meet performance standards while remaining within budgetary constraints.
