Description

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), in collaboration with the General Services Administration (GSA), is conducting market research to identify capabilities and services necessary to support the Chesapeake Bay Program (CBP). The CBP is a unique regional partnership that has been leading efforts to restore and protect the Chesapeake Bay since 1983. This initiative involves federal, state, and local governments, as well as non-governmental organizations and academic institutions, all working together towards a common goal of environmental sustainability.

The primary objective of this solicitation is to secure contractor support for various programmatic initiatives under the CBP. The scope of work includes providing non-IT program support services that enhance coordination among stakeholders, prioritize projects, and offer communications and web support. Additionally, the contractor will be responsible for event planning, Information Collection Request (ICR) support, graphic design and document editing, limited printing tasks, and fostering stakeholder engagement across multiple levels of government.

The work also extends to supporting various functional areas crucial for achieving the CBP's mission. This includes program coordination support aimed at improving administrative priorities within partnerships; communications strategies to effectively disseminate information; planning symposiums and workshops; facilitating third-party strategic evaluations; and supporting design, editing, production, and printing needs. These services are pivotal in aligning with EPA policies while advancing the goals set out by the Chesapeake Bay Watershed Agreement.

Through this contract effort, the EPA seeks to strengthen engagement with local governments while supporting partnership-driven initiatives designed to achieve clean water standards, thriving habitats, healthy forests and fisheries, as well as engaged communities throughout the region. By collaborating closely with various partners through these activities outlined in this Statement of Work (SOW), EPA aims to ensure an economically viable and environmentally sustainable future for America's largest estuary.
