Environmental Laboratory Services

Ramstein Air Base, located in Germany, requires annual water sampling, in addition to any unscheduled sampling as required. Sampling will take place at Ramstein AB and additional sites that its Bioenvironmental Engineering (BE) Unit supports. BE Coordinator will notify the lab at least 2 weeks before sampling is required to order a sampling kit IAW the annual sampling schedule. For all other unscheduled sampling kits BE Coordinator will also notify the lab or contractor at least 1 week in advance. Once sampling has been completed BE will schedule a time that the lab/contractor will pick up the samples from Ramstein AB or drop off the samples if necessary. This will be no later than 48 hours after collection. The lab needs to be ISO 17025 certified as well to ensure compliance with government standards. In case of uncertainties regarding the scope of the analysis, the lab shall find guidance in the FGS-G or reach out to BE for assistance.
