Enterprise Digital File Storage Units

NCEP Central Operations (NCO) provides national and global near real-time data exchange
services using automated communication resources, transmitting a wide variety of environmental
data types. The NCO is operated twenty-four hours a day to acquire and process observations;
construct messages; and disseminate files of observations, model analyses, and forecast products.
Many of these time-perishable products are disseminated cyclically according to fixed schedules.
The NCO is committed to maintaining timely and reliable transmission of products at the highest
level. Having reliable and consistent storage for our visualization data stores is critical to meet
our mission. This requirement is to procure two high availability on premises enterprise digital
file storage units to replace existing end of life storage filers and disks.
