Engineering Change Proposal (ECP)-04603 IFC 4.2 Implementation Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE)   2

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), NAS Patuxent River, MD, has awarded a Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) contract modification on a sole-source basis with Northruop Grumman Systems Corporation - Aerospace Systems (NGAS), San DIego, CA, for activities required to support the Non-Recurring Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) 04603 IFC 4.2 Implementation, ECP 04621, and ECP 04662 on the Triton Unmanned Aircraft (AC).

This contract was awarded on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, "Only one Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements". NGSC is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer, and integrator of the MQ-4C Triton UAS and is the only responsible source possessing the engineering data; technical skills; and requisite knowledge of the design, fabrication, performance, and operational characteristics of the MQ-4C UAS required to perform the necessary follow-on production efforts within the required timeframes and without substantial duplication of costs.
