Engineering and Technical support services for the Weapons Control Systems (WCS) portion of the AN/BYG-1 Submarine Combat System (SCCS)   2

Naval Sea System Command (NAVSEA) intends to award a sole source contract to General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) in Pittsfield, Massachusetts on a sole source basis to procure continued Engineering and Technical support services for the Weapons Control Systems (WCS) portion of the AN/BYG-1 Submarine Combat System (SCCS) for all in-service Submarines and appropriate Joint Program Office (JPO) Submarine platforms.

GDMS is the only source with the requisite technical data and knowledge of the WCS system design, hardware, support equipment, technical experience, and resources necessary to meet the Government's schedule and cost constraints without significant risk to the Navy. The proposed action is a follow on to contract N00024-09-C-6246 which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested offerors may submit their responses before the closing date and times of this notice to the Government for consideration. Responses to this notice must be received by 12:00 EST on 22 Feb 2019.
