A single site visit will be scheduled for Tuesday 03/26/2024 at 1:00 Pm local time. This site visit is intended to give prospective offerors the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the location and to gauge the scope of work required of the contract.

The deadline for requesting a site visit is Friday 03/22/2024 at 1:00 pm Local Time. Failure to comply with the registration instructions above will result in denial of access to the location and/or participation in site visit activities.

Background
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is seeking professional services for the Emergency Generator Fuel Line Repair project at the Daniel K. Inouye U.S. Pacific Basin Agricultural Research Center (DKI-PBARC) in Hilo, Hawaii. The project involves the turn-key repair of the emergency generator fuel lines from the above-ground storage tank to the emergency generator.

Work Details
The contractor is required to replace rusted fuel lines and fittings, shut off fuel supply from tanks, inspect and remove all rusted and corroded piping, excavate work area as needed to access fuel lines, make necessary repairs to replace all rusted and corroded piping and fittings, remove air from fuel lines and ensure they are free of leaks, apply a corrosion-resistant paint to fuel lines, provide all necessary labor, materials, parts, associated hardware, and equipment to complete the repair, and provide fuel/spill containment equipment to contain any fuel leaks and spills at the work site.
Additionally, the contractor must remove and dispose of all debris and materials from the work site.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is 45 calendar days after award.

Place of Performance
The project will be performed at USDA-ARS-DKI Pacific Basin Agricultural Research Center located at 64 Nowelo Street, Hilo, Hawaii 96720.
