Embedding Console System

Background
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), specifically the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, is seeking to procure a Tissue Tek TEC 6 Tissue Embedding Console System (or equivalent) for the Hard Tissue Histology (HTH) section of the NIDCR Imaging Core. This section provides essential sectioning services for both hard and soft tissues to researchers within the NIDCR Division of Intramural Research.

The HTH Imaging Core has processed an average of 55 samples per month since its establishment in Fall 2022, necessitating the acquisition of a new embedding console system to support ongoing research efforts.

Work Details
The contract requires the delivery of one (1) Tissue Tek TEC 6 Tissue Embedding Console System, Catalog # SAKURA FINETEK 5110 or an equivalent product. The specifications include:
1. No refurbished equipment will be accepted.
2. The items must be brand name or equal, equivalent with the 'Sakura Tissue-TEK TEC 6 embedding center' number and product description.

Delivery is to be made to NIH NIDCR ATTN: Andrew Doyle, 30 Convent Drive, Room 403, Bethesda, MD 20892 within 56 days after award.
