Elevator Service Request for Information (RFI)

Background
The Hanscom Air Base Group Civil Engineering Division’s Operations Flight (66 ABG/CEO) is responsible for overseeing and managing facility and infrastructure operations, maintenance, repair, material control, customer service, services contract management, and operations engineering functions.

This Request for Information (RFI) is issued by the 66 ABG/CEO flight and AFLCMC/PZI to gather information from interested contractors to support market research for Elevator Maintenance services.

Work Details
The contractor will be required to provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, parts, and labor necessary to maintain, repair, and inspect the real property vertical transportation equipment (VTE) at Hanscom Air Force Base (HAFB). Specific tasks include:
- Providing a licensed technician during annual Federal inspections to disable/enable fire alarm panels for each facility. The technician must possess a Class A, Class B, Class C, or Class D license.
- Entering confined space areas as part of the contract while complying with the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Title 29, Part 1910 for permit-required confined spaces. Contractors must provide their own confined space entry equipment.
- Conducting work in accordance with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) A17.1-2016 Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators and other applicable standards such as ANSI/ASME A17.2-2014 and NFPA Standards.
