The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), Federal Detention Center, in SeaTac Washington intends to award to a qualifying Elevator Maintenance and Repair Company a Performance-Based, Multi-year Service Contract having firm fixed pricing for the provision of Elevator Maintenance Services at the Federal Detention Center (FDC) SeaTac, located at 2425 S. 200th Street in SeaTac, Washington.

Period of Performance: Base + One Year Option.

Background
The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) is issuing a solicitation for a Performance-Based, Multi-year Service Contract for Elevator Maintenance Services at the Federal Detention Center (FDC) in SeaTac, Washington.

The goal of this contract is to ensure the proper maintenance and repair of elevator systems within the facility, which is crucial for operational efficiency and safety.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing comprehensive elevator maintenance services, including but not limited to:
- Performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all elevators.
- Responding to emergency service calls within 60 minutes for incidents such as operational loss of three or more elevators or life safety incidents like entrapments.
- Providing detailed cost estimates for extensive repairs requiring 40 man hours or more.
- Managing labor hour allocations effectively to ensure that emergency repairs do not exhaust available hours needed for other elevator equipment.
- Ensuring that any financial compensation for troubleshooting or repair tasks is contingent upon proving that failures were not due to contractor negligence.
- Prioritizing response efforts in the event of seismic activity affecting the facility, including immediate communication with facility management and dispatching personnel as needed.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a base period followed by one option year, with performance expected from September 1, 2024, to August 31, 2026.
