Background
The contract is issued by the Naval Submarine Base New London, located in Groton, CT. The primary mission of this agency is to ensure the operational readiness of submarines and support naval operations. The goal of this contract is to provide comprehensive elevator maintenance and repair services to support the base's infrastructure and operational capabilities.

Work Details
The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, management, tools, materials, equipment, facilities, transportation, incidental engineering, and other items necessary to provide elevator maintenance and repair services as described in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). This includes periodic servicing, maintenance, and repair of Government-Furnished Items accepted for use at no additional cost to the Government.

The Contractor must comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. They are required to submit copies of permits and licenses as specified in Section F. Insurance requirements include maintaining comprehensive general liability insurance of $500,000 per occurrence and automobile liability insurance of $200,000 per person and $500,000 per occurrence.

The Contractor must protect Government property during execution of work and return any damaged areas to their original condition at no cost to the Government. Compliance with Department of Defense directives and instructions is mandatory. The Contractor shall manage work schedules effectively to minimize interference with normal Government operations.

Period of Performance
The contract has a base period of twelve (12) months with four (4) additional twelve (12) month options.
