Background
The United States Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT is seeking elevator inspection services to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. The goal of this contract is to provide thorough inspections and certifications for the Academy's elevators and personnel lifts, thereby ensuring the safety and reliability of these systems.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, transportation, and supervision necessary for effective performance of inspection services for 16 elevators and 6 personnel lifts. Inspections must adhere to the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) standards including ASME A17.1, A17.2, A17.3, and ASME 18.1, as well as Connecticut laws regulating elevators.

The scope includes:
1. Conducting routine and periodic inspections/tests to evaluate overall elevator system performance based on engineering practices common to the vertical transportation industry.
2. Performing safety inspections including no-load and full-load tests as required by relevant standards.
3. Conducting maintenance inspections to identify deficiencies in each elevator system using a checklist format aligned with ASME A17.2 guidelines.
4. Issuing Certificates of Inspection as warranted based on inspection results.
5. Submitting a blank copy of the Elevator Inspection Checklist Form to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for approval within 10 calendar days after contract award.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is from May 1, 2026 to April 30, 2027.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the United States Coast Guard Academy located in New London, Connecticut.
