Electronic Locks Installation

Background
The Department of War (DoW) is seeking to enhance security at its operational facilities by procuring and installing electronic door locks. The primary objective of this contract is to secure the exterior entrances of Buildings 53 and 56 at MacDill Air Force Base, thereby protecting valuable DoW assets from unauthorized access.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide, deliver, and install a complete standalone CAC-enabled electronic lock/access control system for Buildings 53 and 56. This includes all necessary hardware, cabling, labor, materials, equipment, integration, testing, documentation, warranty, and cleanup.

The system must be capable of reading DoW Common Access Cards (CAC) and allow entry access through third-party card options or unique PINs. Specific requirements include:
1. Entry Access Control Equipment compatible with current and future CAC versions.
2. A standalone control system running Windows 11, independent of any internal/external networks.
3. A management station with a PC and peripherals for user logon creation.
4. Installation of magnetic locking mechanisms on specified doors in both buildings.
5. Integration with the facility's fire alert system to deactivate locks during emergencies.
6. Provision of technical services and support for system maintenance with an initial warranty period.

Period of Performance
The installation for Building 56 is ready for immediate execution, while Building 53 will be ready after October 1st.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide standardized entry access control equipment approved as Platform Information Technology (PIT). They should also demonstrate experience with similar projects by providing three references with contact information.
