Description

The Defense Logistics Agency, Defense Contracting Service Office Fort Belvoir (DSCO-F) intends to issue an unrestricted firm fixed price solicitation to SAM.gov, for Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA). Anticipated date of solicitation issuance in SAM.gov on or around May 26.

Requirement Description: DLA intends to purchase a total 7,140 metric tons (MT) of EMM flakes with a manganese (Mn) content of at least 99.00% by mass (Mn content = 100 x (mass of contained Mn mass of total substances). The performance period of 18-month base period and two (2) 12-month options period, to include FAR 52.217-8 and FAR 52.217-9.

During the base year of eighteen (18) months, DLA intends to purchase 3,600 MT of EMM flakes. There will be two (2) option years of 12 months each. In the first option year, 2,100 MT will be purchased. In the second option year, 1,440 MT will be purchased.

PSC: 9630, the NAICS code for this action is 331110 Iron and Steel Mills and Ferroalloy manufacturing, with a size standard of 1,500. This requirement will be procured under the guidelines of FAR Part 12, Commercial Items. DCSO-F requires that all contractors doing business with the Acquisition Office must be registered with the Systems for Award Management (SAM). Background
The Defense Logistics Agency, Defense Contracting Service Office – Fort Belvoir (DSCO-F) intends to issue an unrestricted firm fixed price solicitation for Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA). The anticipated date of solicitation issuance is on or around May 26. This is a supply contract to provide Electrolytic Manganese Metal (EMM) with specific requirements as detailed below.

Work Details
