Background
The project is initiated by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) to enhance the security and functionality of the Radio Shop located at 2350 Carson Road in Placerville. The facility has been a target for burglaries, housing high-value equipment and parts essential for operations.

The goal of this contract is to replace outdated windows, siding, and doors while ensuring compliance with safety regulations regarding hazardous materials.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Conduct lead and asbestos testing; if present, provide an abatement plan and perform abatement by licensed contractors in California.
2. Remove all windows except one vinyl clad window.
3. Replace approximately 3000 SF of aluminum siding and 300 LSF of fascia around the building.
4. Perform framing repairs as necessary during window and door installations.
5. Replace the existing door with a steel security door, including necessary frame adjustments.
6. Replace two additional doors for the Botany and Trails bays with new security features.
7. Install six new windows with weatherproofing and trim; windows to be Milgard Style Line V250 or equivalent.
8. Install interior and exterior trim around doors and windows, repair drywall, and paint interior office space.
9. Install a new motion-activated LED security flood light over the radio shop door.
10. Remove and replace four rollup doors (10'x10') and one larger rollup door (11'h x 10'w), ensuring they match existing designs.

Period of Performance
The contractor must begin performance within 5 calendar days after receiving the notice to proceed and complete it within 45 calendar days.

Place of Performance
The construction work will be performed at the USDA Forest Service Radio Shop located at 2350 Carson Road, Placerville, California.
