Eddy Current Array Instrument (Reddy)

Background
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is seeking to procure a portable Eddy Current Array (ECA) nondestructive evaluation (NDE) system to support materials and component inspection activities.

The goal of this contract is to provide NASA with a complete, operational portable ECA system that is capable of high-resolution surface inspection, data acquisition, visualization, analysis, and storage. This specific system is required to match an existing unit that will be used for upcoming NASA mission needs, ensuring mission assurance and necessary redundancy.

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish and deliver a complete Eddyfi Technologies Reddy portable 128 channel surface ECA instrument system, which includes the following components:
- 128-channel ECA capability
- Portable instrument with integrated multi-touch display
- Compatible ECA inspection probes and required probe interfaces
- Integrated software for data acquisition, visualization, analysis, and storage
- Automatic probe recognition/configuration
- Rechargeable batteries and power supply/charger
- Rugged carrying case
- All standard cables, connectors, adapters, and accessories required for operation
- Manufacturer's operating manuals and applicable technical documentation
- Manufacturer's standard warranty and technical support.

The delivered system must be new, complete, operational, and compliant with the manufacturer's published specifications.

Period of Performance
Approximately 4 weeks after receipt of order for the main instrument.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide proof of manufacturer's pricing and a letter of authorization to resell the requested products with their quote. Failure to provide these documents will disqualify the company from consideration for award.

Incumbent Analysis (see Incumbents section for more detail)
This opportunity appears to have a confirmed incumbent and/or closely related prior contract, as NASA previously awarded Eddyfi contract 80NSSC24PA722 for a custom eddy current array probe for inspecting 2'-8'' tubing, including a padded mechanism/limited dead zone and compatible cabling and 160-pin connectivity for use with an existing scanner. The current RFQ seeks delivery of an Eddyfi Technologies Reddy portable 128-channel ECA instrument system with compatible probes and interfaces, which suggests continuity in the same ECA inspection approach and hardware ecosystem (probe/scanner compatibility) to support similar materials/component inspection needs.
