Background
The Bureau of Reclamation is seeking to award a contract for the supply and delivery of bulk chemicals, specifically sulfuric acid and sodium hydroxide, for the Leadville Mine Drainage Tunnel (LMDT) Water Treatment Plant located in Leadville, Colorado. The contract includes a base year and four optional years, with a maximum contract length of five years. The contractor is required to provide timely and accurate supplies, incorporating innovative and emerging technologies to improve mission performance.

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish and deliver approximately 495 wet tons of sulfuric acid and approximately 315 wet tons of sodium hydroxide meeting specific chemical specifications. Deliveries shall be scheduled by verbal request from Reclamation LMDT treatment plant personnel.

The contractor is responsible for providing a typical Certificate of Analysis and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for each chemical being delivered within 10 days of contract award. The delivery requirements of the trucking company when at the Reclamation facility are also detailed, including safety protocols and documentation.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for the base year is from April 4, 2022, through September 30, 2023.

Place of Performance
Deliveries shall be made to the Leadville Mine Drainage Tunnel Water Treatment Plant located at 749 Highway 91, Leadville, CO 80461.
