COMPLETE RFP PACKAGE AND AMENDMENT #1 IS ATTACHED HEREWITH. RFP CLOSING DATE IS DECEMBER 15, 2022.

SLAC seeks vendors that can provide one (1) each of e-beam evaporator for the DMF Laboraroty located in SLAC Menlo Park, CA in accordance with the attached Exhibit A - Statement of Work for E-Beam Evaporator dated 11/14/22.

Background
SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory (SLAC) is seeking vendors to provide an e-beam evaporator for the Detector Microfabrication Facility (DMF) located in SLAC Menlo Park, CA. The e-beam evaporator is required for the deposition of thin-film refractory and precious metals on 150 mm wafers with an RF clean capability. The system will be installed in a Class-100 (ISO 5) cleanroom and should meet OSHA standards for operator safety.

Work Details
The e-beam system must meet specific requirements including construction materials compatible with ISO 5 cleanroom, single point connections for house facilities, internal electrical distribution restricted to a single external power connection, interlocks for safe operation, heavy-duty casters and seismic anchoring, and more. It should also include a personal computer for full process control and data logging, spare parts, water-to-water heat exchanger, complete documentation, and support capabilities for at least 5 years. Additionally, the vendor must provide evidence of supporting capabilities for at least 5 years.
