Background
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) intends to award a contract for Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) to provide specified health insurance benefit administration services, including Medicare claims processing and payment services, in support of the Medicare Program for Jurisdiction B. Jurisdiction B includes the states of Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin.

Work Details
The purpose of this contract is to obtain a Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Medicare Administrative Contractor (hereinafter referred to as “the contractor” or “MAC” or “DME MAC”) to provide specified health insurance benefit administration services, including Medicare claims processing and payment services, in support of the “traditional” Medicare program for DME MAC Jurisdiction B. The contract type is anticipated to be Cost-Plus-Award-Fee (CPAF). The award fee will be based upon an evaluation by the Government of the contractor’s performance. The award fee evaluations will be performed on an annual basis.
The period of performance for completion of all work included in this contract shall be from the effective date of contract award through 12 months, plus six one-year options.
