Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) Jurisdiction B RFP   4

Background
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) intends to award a contract for Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Medicare Administrative Contractor (hereinafter referred to as “the contractor” or “MAC” or “DME MAC”) to provide specified health insurance benefit administration services, including Medicare claims processing and payment services, in support of the “traditional” Medicare program (also known as the Medicare fee-for-service or FFS, program) for DME MAC Jurisdiction B (JB). JB includes the states of Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin. This is the Final RFP following the Draft RFP that was posted on February 28, 2022.

Work Details
The purpose of this contract is to obtain a Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Medicare Administrative Contractor (hereinafter referred to as “the contractor” or “MAC” or “DME MAC”) to provide specified health insurance benefit administration services, including Medicare claims processing and payment services, in support of the “traditional” Medicare program (also known as the Medicare fee-for-service or FFS, program) for DME MAC Jurisdiction B (JB). The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) anticipates awarding a Cost Reimbursement type contract. The primary pricing arrangement is anticipated to be Cost-Plus-Award-Fee (CPAF). The amount of award fee the Contractor earns will be based upon an evaluation by the Government of the contractor’s performance. The estimated cost of this contract is detailed in the chart provided.
The period of performance for completion of all work included in this contract shall be from the effective date of contract award through 12 months, plus six (6) one (1) year options.
