Drydock: USCGC William Sparling FY27 DD

Background
The US Coast Guard (USCG) is issuing a ship repair contract for the USCGC WILLIAM SPARLING, specifically for FY27 Dry Dock maintenance availability. The goal of this contract is to complete all standard recurring maintenance items necessary for the vessel's operational readiness. This includes inspections and repairs critical to the vessel's functionality and safety.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for completing the following tasks:
- Inspect hull plating
- Assess watertight closures
- Repair propulsion shafting system
- Clean machinery ventilation system
- Preserve stern launch door
- Renew/overhaul ASW Firemain system components.

The execution of this contract will take place at the contractor's facility unless otherwise specified. Additional requirements include submitting documentation for coatings certification, sewage and grey water system cleaning procedures, watertight closure assessment qualifications, thermographic inspection certifications, welding certifications/procedures, environmental protection compliance, and a fire safety plan.

Period of Performance
The period of performance is estimated to start on November 10, 2026, and end on March 9, 2027.

The home pier of the USCGC WILLIAM SPARLING is located at 427 Commercial St., Boston, MA 02109.

Bidder Requirements
This opportunity is set aside for small businesses (Small Business Set Aside - Total). Bidders must provide proof of relevant experience and certifications including but not limited to:
- QP1 certified painters or NACE CIP level 3 certified technicians
- Documentation of prior experience with watertight hull fittings
- ANSI/ASNT LEVEL 1 certification for thermographic inspections
- Welding procedure specifications (WPS) along with welder certifications.
