Drydock: USCGC Petrel Dry Dock Availability FY2026   3

Background
The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is issuing a solicitation for dry dock repairs for the USCGC PETREL (WPB-87350) as part of their fiscal year 2026 maintenance program. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the vessel is properly serviced and maintained to meet operational readiness standards.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide a facility accessible from a navigable waterway where the USCGC PETREL can safely arrive, lie afloat, and depart at all states of the tide at any time of day or night. The facility must have a minimum water depth of 18 feet and a minimum height clearance of 75 feet. Specific tasks include:
- Submission of welding documentation according to SFLC Standard Specification 0740 for weld joints installed. This includes welding procedure specifications (WPS), welder certification documentation, and continuity documentation.
- Submission of all documents specified under '3.5.1 Pre-award events' in SFLC Standard Specification 8634, including dry dock facility certifications and pre-award calculations.
- Development and submission of a Fire Safety Plan that addresses temporary measures for fire detection/alarm systems during repairs, identification of personnel responsible for fire response, anticipated breaches in fire protection boundaries, and risk mitigation strategies.

The contract period of performance is from March 17, 2026, to June 16, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at a facility accessible from a navigable waterway.
