Background
The USCGC DOUGLAS DENMAN is a cutter homeported in Coast Guard District 17, located in Alaska. This solicitation is issued by the U.S. Coast Guard for drydock repairs as part of the William M. (Mac) Thornberry National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021, which pertains to vessel conversion, alteration, and repair projects. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the cutter undergoes necessary repairs and maintenance to maintain operational readiness.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide a facility accessible from a navigable waterway where the USCGC DOUGLAS DENMAN can safely arrive, lie afloat, and depart at all states of the tide at any time of day or night. The facility must have a minimum water depth of 12 feet and a minimum height clearance of 60 feet.

The contractor is required to submit documentation regarding corporate experience in conducting major structural and electrical/electronics repairs on DOD and USCG surface vessels over the past three years. Additionally, welding certifications and procedures must be provided according to SFLC Standard Specification 0740. A fire safety plan must be submitted detailing measures for fire detection/alarm/response requirements outlined in SFLC STD SPEC 5550, including how risks from anticipated breaches of fire protection boundaries will be mitigated.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from August 18, 2026, to December 15, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will take place at a facility located at or near Ketchikan, Alaska.
